What causes food poisoning?
Food poisoning causes can be divided into two categories. One contains infective agents such as parasites, viruses and bacteria. The other contains toxic agents such as improperly prepared exotic foods, poisonous mushrooms and pesticides on fruits and vegetables.
Food can also be contaminated from poor sanitation or preparation. Improperly packaged food stored at the wrong temperature also promotes food poisoning conditions. Viruses and bacteria can be passed through food in improperly heated/cooked meats such as chicken and beef.
